Ponteland is 15 miles north of Newcastle and has very poor evening transport facilities. You' re better off the paying more for a hotel in Newcastle if you want a night out rather than wasting money on expensive taxi fares.

On the other hand if you have a car and enjoy the countryside Ponteland is well located to explore the beautiful Northumberland countryside.

There is a fine print at the bottom of the page saying:
Valid for stay 7 days a week.
Fri and Sat stay supplement of £10 payable directly to the hotel.

Used to be good for cheap afternoon meals & it's close to the airport, nice golf course, the only reason public transport is poor in the evenings, is the highway robbers (stagecoach) pulled the service,so they could get subsidy (edited)

And as an added bonus, Alan Shearer has been known to drink here.

Great if you want to go to Ponteland and not Newcastle, or if you don't mind a bit of extra driving/fares/taxi.

Not bad deal esp as includes breakfast. Heat added.

Though there are some decent/reasonably priced hotels in Newcastle city centre esp if you book a bit in advance.
Agree with comments on public transport. It’s better in the city centre (just) but bus services in the outlying areas such as this are getting cut to shreds. (edited)

Be careful, it's a continental breakfast

Don't expect sausages and scrambled egg

Could be just cereals and toast
