Otherwise in my case, I use a lawnmower for my medium sized lawn that a strimmer would just take too long to do. And I use the strimmer to tidy up the edges where the grass meets my raised flower bed that the lawnmower can't reach.
i usually replace the line with thicker line.. 1.6mm > 1.8mm only .2mm difference but hey.. it last longer..
50m reel £3 at B&M.. so about 10 refills.. if you use 5m at a time. which is standard length.
