Actually, one thing I need to warn people about, the game utilises a trippy aesthetic like a lava lamp and everything kind of sways and swirls and rocks back and forth. It can, and has, caused huge motion sickness issues with players and so far only the steam version has a fix that stops all the motion. I have the switch version and I can only play it in handheld mode because on my TV I start to feel like I'm going to throw up.

So just a word of warning for anyone wanting to get into this game on platforms other than steam, the patch is still a few weeks away on consoles according to the developer. If you have issues with motion sickness, either get it on steam or avoid it for a few weeks.

I feel like this game would be perfect on mobile, though in portrait mode with no f2p stuff just a standard price.

Ive never played a game that I simultaneously love and utterly despise more than this game. I've put hours into it. The game is so much fun, but then purple stake is also the least fun I've ever had playing a game. A YouTuber described purple as 'if you don't get the hand you need, you have lost' and it's so true. The game at this stake relies so much on luck and pulling the right jokers that it feels like an insane difficulty spike and I find myself just miserable playing it.

But the sheer excitement of working with what you have to try and put together a working engine to generate chips and mult keeps me coming back. I honestly think this game is worth every penny. I love this game.

That being said, I hate this game so goddam much.

If you haven't tried it already, I cleared most of the higher stakes using the checkered deck and optimising for flushes of one suit.
